한인회의 소송 경위와 비용에 대한 설명을 바랍니다
한인회라는 이름으로 운영되는 단체라면, 구성원이 문제를 제기했을 때 먼저 대화하고 충분히 설명하며 해결책을 찾는 것이 바람직하다고 생각합니다.
홍대감님이 공개하신 자료를 접하면서, 한인회가 개인을 상대로 소송을 제기하고 2년 넘게 진행하다가 중단한 이유가 무엇인지 궁금해졌습니다. 대화로 해결하기 어려웠던 사정은 무엇이었으며, 소송을 통해 해결하려던 문제는 무엇이었는지 설명을 듣고 싶습니다.
한인들의 어려움을 돕고 함께 문제를 해결해야 할 단체가 구성원 개인과 오랜 소송을 이어간 상황은 안타깝습니다. 개인이 단체를 상대로 소송에 대응하는 과정에서 감당해야 하는 금전적·정신적 부담도 결코 작지 않았을 것입니다.
이 소송에 사용된 비용은 누가, 어떤 재원으로 부담했습니까?
운영진 개인이 부담한 것인지, 한인회 자금에서 지출한 것인지 궁금합니다. 한인회 자금이 사용되었다면, 지출 금액과 승인 절차, 회원들에게 보고한 내용도 설명해 주시기 바랍니다.
저는 한인회의 재정이 운영진 개인의 자금이 아니라, 단체의 목적에 맞게 책임 있게 관리하고 사용 내역을 투명하게 설명해야 하는 공동의 재원이라고 생각합니다. 소송을 시작하고 중단한 경위와 그 비용에 대해 회원들과 한인사회가 이해할 수 있는 설명을 바랍니다.

A Request for an Explanation of the Association’s Lawsuit and Legal Expenses
I believe that an organization operating under the name of a Korean association should first seek to address concerns raised by its members through dialogue, clear explanations, and efforts to find a resolution.
After reviewing the materials shared by Hong Daegam, I would like to understand why the Association initiated a lawsuit against an individual, pursued it for more than two years, and then discontinued it. What circumstances made it difficult to resolve the matter through dialogue, and what did the Association seek to achieve through the lawsuit?
It is regrettable that an organization whose role is to support members of the Korean community and help resolve their difficulties became involved in prolonged litigation against an individual member. The financial and emotional burden of defending against a lawsuit brought by an organization must have been considerable.
Who paid the legal expenses for this lawsuit, and what funds were used?
Were the expenses paid personally by the Association’s leadership, or were they paid from Association funds? If Association funds were used, please explain how much was spent, how the expenditures were approved, and what information was reported to the members.
I believe that the Association’s funds are community resources that must be managed responsibly, used for the organization’s purposes, and accounted for transparently. They are not the personal funds of its leadership. I ask the Association to provide its members and the Korean community with a clear explanation of why the lawsuit was initiated and discontinued, and how its costs were covered.
I extend my sympathy and support to Hong Daegam, who must have endured significant emotional and financial hardship while responding to this prolonged litigation.
한인회가 한인을 상대로 명예훼손 소송을 제기했다면, 소송을 시작한 이유뿐 아니라 취하한 이유와 그동안의 결과도 한인들에게 설명해야 하지 않겠습니까?
소송에 들어간 비용은 얼마이며, 누가 부담했습니까? 한인회 자금을 사용했다면 누가 어떤 근거로 승인했는지, 관련 이사회 회의록과 지출 내역을 공개해 주십시오. 본인의 개인 돈으로 소송비를 부담했더라도 같은 결정을 내렸을지 묻고 싶습니다.
한인회 자금은 회원과 한인사회를 위해 책임 있게 사용해야 할 돈입니다. 부적절한 집행이 확인된다면, 그 결정을 내리고 집행한 사람들의 책임을 따지고 필요한 환수 조치를 검토해야 합니다. 소송이 취하되었다는 이유로 비용과 의사결정에 대한 설명까지 끝난 것은 아닙니다.
